Since its establishment in 1988, METS has provided consultant metallurgical services for the mining, banking and engineering industries. This has provided a wealth of experience for its staff as they frequently handle many varying situations. METS conducts training courses that run on a regular basis, both in Australia and overseas. The courses are highly regarded and have been well attended. Two years after its establishment, METS set up and ran its own laboratory in order to offer a complete package to the industry which provided excellent laboratory management experience. In 1999, METS redefined its focus and established a professional corporate office in West Perth, with all laboratory work now tendered out on a bid allocation basis. Over the next six years, from our West Perth office, we developed a specialty as Process Engineers for the resource sector. We have conducted due diligence exercises for most of the major banks and have built up a staff of dedicated engineers with unrivalled capability. METS has also established its capabilities in developing metallurgical testplans, seeking tenders and awarding the work. METS supervises the testwork and makes changes where required. In addition, metallurgical summary reports are written as a stand alone document. Over the years, METS has developed skills in interpreting test results, developing flowsheets, P&ID's, equipment lists, process design criteria, process description and GA's for blockplan layout, goldrooms, etc. METS has also developed a strong capability for developing implementation programmes, schedules, plant commissioning manuals, operating manuals and training programmes. In 2006, METS expanded and relocated to larger facilities at Level 6, 524 Hay Street, Perth. This allowed our process and engineering teams to be located together on one floor. The new and modern office is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities that encourage better communication and efficient workflow.

In 2008 METS celebrated its 20th anniversary with a commemorative logo and cocktail function with special invited guests being staff, clients and associates from over the years. With an ambitious growth strategy and advancement through planned expansion of each of the seven defined business service pillars, METS is positioned  for continued success well into the future.
