Drug & Alcohol Policy

METS is dedicated to maintaining a safe and reliable working environment. In accordance with this, a strict Drugs and Alcohol policy has been adopted. We are committed to preventing situations where the use of drugs and/or alcohol may have an impact on the health and safety of employees and others associated with the company.

Drug and Alcohol procedures apply to all projects and employees regardless of their position. METS does not allow possession or use of drugs and/or alcohol on company property or associated projects.

Employees are required to participate in compulsory random Drug and Alcohol tests, to help enforce this policy. Testing will be implemented randomly and in pre-employment situations.

METS asserts a zero-tolerance stance on Drug and Alcohol use in the workplace. Failure to comply with METS Drug and Alcohol Free policy will not be taken lightly.

Individuals with positive test results or those who refuse to partake in the substance tests will be failing to act in accordance with the terms of this policy and therefore the appropriate measures will be taken. These may include… (the withdrawal of a job offer or termination of current employment, suspension without pay etc etc.)

Safety Policy

Confidentiality Policy
- Employees are required to protect proprietary, commercial and other information that is confidential to METS and its clients. These obligations of confidentiality continue after an individual’s employment with METS ceases.
- Information that is generally not available concerning the activities, results, or plans of METS or its clients must be handled with care, and not disclosed outside the company without proper authority. It must never be used for personal gain.
- Confidentiality provisions should be included in contracts with consultants, contractors, clients and other parties who provide services to the company.
