Society of Minerals, Mining and Metallurgy – Flotation Course

On 8th October 2010, METS presented the Flotation Course to members of the Northern Minnesota Division of the Society of Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration (SME) in America. The course was delivered by Damian Connelly, Director/Principal Consulting Engineer, to a total of 37 attendees. The METS Flotation Course provided the delegates with a comprehensive understanding of the flotation process and its application to a number of ores.

Bass Metals Heyller Mine Site – Cyanide Management Course


In October 2010, METS presented the Cyanide Management Course at the Bass Metals Ltd Hellyer Operations Site, located on in northwest Tasmania. The course was delivered by Dr Denis Yan, Consulting Metallurgist to a total of 39 attendees. The METS Cyanide Management Course familiarised delegates with the International Cyanide Management Code, thus enabling them to become actively involved in the implementation of reference procedures and standards for the management of cyanide.

Newmont Asia Pacific – Customised Mineral Processing & Pumping and Pump Fundamentals Course

In April 2011, METS successfully delivered a customised training course with selected modules from both the METS Mineral Processing Course and the METS Pumping and Pump Fundamentals Course at the Newmont Asia Pacific Boddington Gold Mine in Western Australia.
